SUBJECT:  Diversity Council Staff Subcommittee Focus Group

I am pleased to announce that the Diversity Council Staff Subcommittee will conduct a Focus Group on May 23, 2000 from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Room 111-A. The topic for the meeting is Staff Development and Professional Advancement at UCSD. Staff members are invited to share their experiences in accessing staff development and training at UCSD.

I am approving a two hours administrative leave with pay on May 23 so employees may attend this event. Supervisors may allow employees two hours of administrative leave to attend the event when the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties.
