SUBJECT:  Hands-On Sequence Analysis Workshop

On January 30 and 31 DoubleTwist will offer four "Hands On" Sequence Analysis Workshops at UCSD. We would like to invite you or members of your lab to participate. There are a total of 80 spaces available on a first come-first serve basis. Each participant will have their own computer with web access.

The workshop will include hands on examples of how one might use the DoubleTwist Research Portal to discover new members of a gene family, potential full length cDNAs, Homologs, Gene Structure of the Human Genome, Alternative Splice Forms, a Proteins Functional Characteristics, and a sequences Patent Status. Participants will have access to Prophecy (Annotated Human Genome Database), our Gene Indices, and 3rd party data via http://DoubleTwist.com.

You are encouraged to bring two of your own sequences to the workshop for analysis.

At the end of the workshops one of the eighty participants will receive a Free 1 year Subscription to DoubleTwist.com. Others will receive a Runner Up or a Participation door prize.
