SUBJECT:  Approved UCSD Implementing Procedures for the
                     Employment of Casual-Restricted (Student) Employees

New procedures, replacing Policy and Procedure Manual 250-6: Student Employment Under Staff Titles, are being issued effective April 1, 2001 due to the simplification of procedures and introduction of on-line processes in the employment of casual-restricted (student) employees.

The Procedures may be accessed in Appendix IV on the Human Resources Department's web site at
http://www-hr.ucsd.edu/~qwl/policies/index.html#jop.

Policy Manual Holders should print and file these new Procedures with their UC Personnel Policies for Staff Members, and update the Table of Contents accordingly. Please discard PPM 250-6: Student Employment Under Staff Titles.
