Subject:  Gifts to UCSD Fiscal Year-End Reminder

As you are aware, the fiscal year is coming to an end June 30, 2001. As part of our annual financial reporting, External Relations requests that information regarding all gifts to UCSD be documented and accounted for, including gifts that are of a non-monetary nature (Gift-In-Kind). We ask that all departments review their knowledge and/or records of any gifts that may have been given during the year, and ensure that they are reported to us. The types of gift most often overlooked appear to be gifts of equipment. We need a Gift Acceptance Form to enable us to properly record donations. All gift forms, including The Deed of Gift Form, (Gift-In-Kind), are now available on-line at
http://www-er.ucsd.edu/giftprocessing/.

If you need any help filling out the Deed of Gift Form or the Gift Acceptance Form, we would be pleased to assist you. We greatly appreciate your help in ensuring all gifts of private support to UCSD are accurately reported and our donors acknowledged.
