SUBJECT:  Cellular Phones at the Bookstore

We are pleased to announce that cellular phone services will transition from Administrative Computing and Telecommunications (ACT) to the UCSD Bookstore as of August 1, 2001. This change will improve the support for the growing number of campus cellular phones by providing a more convenient location and longer hours of operation. Bookstore services will include: purchase of cellular equipment, activations, disconnects, cellular feature additions/removals, accessories, and general assistance. ACT will continue to maintain all billing responsibilities for cellular phones. These services will include maintaining billing records, forwarding monthly statements to departments of record, and index changes. For billing questions and index changes please continue to contact Cyndi Humphrey at x41938 or submit an online Telecom Customer Service Request (CSR) via http://blink.ucsd.edu/go/csr on the web.
