SUBJECT:  EAP Study Center Directorship-Application Deadline
                     Extension

Dear Colleagues:

This message is to inform you that the application deadline for EAP Study Center Directorships has been extended to Monday, October 15, 2001. The events of September 11 delayed the return to campus of some faculty and caused other delays and dislocations. Hence, the extension.

Recruitment is underway for seventeen Study Center Director (or Visiting Professor) appointments: Egypt, France, Germany, India, Israel, Italy, Japan, South Korea, Netherlands, Russia, Scandinavia (Denmark/Sweden), Spain, UK/I London, and Vietnam. All tenured faculty members of the Academic Senate, including lecturers SOE and emeriti faculty are eligible, and the lengths of appointment vary from one-semester to one or two years, depending on the program.
