SUBJECT:  Appointment of Mark Padrez as the Current
                     Program Coordinator for Office of Religious Affairs (ORA)

Please welcome Father Mark Padrez who has accepted the position as the new Program Coordinator for the Office of Religious Affairs (ORA). Mark in the annual rotation for this position, replaces Gary Anderson who served as coordinator for the past two years. Mark has been the Associate Director of the Newman Center Catholic Community at UCSD for the last three years and last year was named Director of that ministry. Prior to his assignment in San Diego he was the Associate Pastor of a large parish in Antioch, California where he was responsible for the Youth and Latino Ministries. Mark received his undergraduate degree at the University of Arizona in History, and received an undergraduate degree in Philosophy and a Master Degree in Theology from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, California.
