SUBJECT:  2000-2001 UCSD Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and
                     Diversity Award Program Recipients

I am pleased to announce the 2000-2001 UCSD Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action and Diversity Award Program recipients.

In October, the 2000-2001 Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action and Diversity Award Program was announced to the UCSD community. The announcement invited and encouraged nominations to recognize those individuals, departments and organizational units who have made outstanding contributions to the diversification of the UCSD career staff work force during the November 1, 2000 to October 31, 2001 affirmative action reporting period. A review committee comprised of representatives from my office and each Vice Chancellor's area evaluated the nominations and recommended this year's award recipients.

A Ceremony and Reception will be held on Thursday, November 29, at 2:00 p.m. in the Price Center Ballroom to recognize the following 2000-2001 Equal Opportunity/ Affirmative Action and Diversity Award recipients:
