EDUCATION ABROAD PROGRAM March 1, 2001
SUBJECT: Study Center Director Recruitment for Chile and Brazil The Universitywide Office of the Education Abroad Program announces the search for Study Center Directors for Chile and Brazil for the calendar years 2002-2003. At each site, the Study Center Director is the administrator of the center, provides academic and general counseling for enrolled UC students, implements UC academic policy, serves as Instructor of Record for all academic work undertaken by EAP students, assures harmonious relations with UC's partner universities, and facilitates exchange provisions of agreements. Fluency in the language of the host country and a broad knowledge of the host country are required. These are two-year appointments running from January 1 to December 31. The Chile directorship requires a two-year residency, while the Brazil director remains on site from January 1 through July 31 each year. Tenured UC faculty, including lecturers with security of employment, and emeriti professors are eligible to apply. The deadline for receipt of completed applications is Friday, March 30, 2001.
