Tom Bond, Provost, Revelle College will take a one-year sabbatical leave beginning August 1, 2001. Please join me in extending best wishes to Provost Bond during his sabbatical.

I am delighted that Dr. Barbara Sawrey, Department of Chemistry & Biochemistry, has agreed to serve as Acting Provost during Provost Bond's absence. Please join me in thanking Dr. Sawrey for taking up this important position.
