SUBJECT:  Diversity Council Town Hall Meeting - REMINDER NOTICE

The UCSD Diversity Council would like to remind you of the upcoming Diversity Council Town Hall Meeting. The theme will be "Embracing Diversity: A Campuswide Responsibility."

Please take this opportunity to join the Council for this very informative and insightful event.

DATE: Tuesday, April 3, 2001
TIME: 2:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
LOCATION: Price Center Ballroom

The program will consist of a guest speaker, Dr. Daryl Smith, professor of education and psychology at the Claremont Graduate University. She is the author of the monograph, "Diversity Works." A campus leadership panel will respond to Dr. Smith's talk "Embracing Diversity: A Campuswide Responsibility." The panel will share their vision on how our campus can achieve this goal.

Pat Ledden, Chair - Council of Provosts

All faculty, staff and students are encouraged to participate. I am approving a two-hour administrative leave with pay for this event. Supervisors may allow employees two hours of administrative leave when the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties.
