SUBJECT:  Change in Hours of Operation for Career Services Center

Over the past academic year, the Career Services Center has greatly expanded its services to alumni. They have responded in kind, using our office in greater numbers than ever before. However, our traditional hours of operation, 8am - 4:30pm M-F, make it difficult for many alumni to take advantage of our services. The same can be said of many students whose course schedules or work responsibilities make it inconvenient for them to visit the Center during our traditional hours.

For these reasons, the Center will be changing its weekly schedule, beginning the week of July 9. Our hours of operation on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays will remain the same, 8am-4:30pm. However, on Wednesdays we will remain open until 7pm and on Fridays, we will close at 2pm. On Wednesdays and Fridays, we will continue to open the Center at 8am. On rare occasions when holidays necessitate departures from this schedule, we will operate on a 8am-4:30pm schedule throughout the affected weeks. These exceptions are posted on our website at http://career.ucsd.edu/studentsalumni and users will be further notified in a timely way.

We are confident that this change will better serve alumni and current students and enable our office to provide a valuable extension of its services.
