SUBJECT:  New Director of Faculty and Staff Assistance Program Appointed

The search to fill the position of Director, Faculty and Staff Assistance Program (FSAP) has been completed. After a national search and consultation with a variety of campus colleagues and groups, Nancy E. James has been appointed to the position.

Nancy is a licensed Clinical Social Worker and a Certified Employee Assistance Professional. She holds a Masters of Social Work degree from San Diego State University. Nancy has worked for the FSAP at UCSD since its inception, some fourteen years.

Nancy's focus will be to accomplish the objectives and goals essential to sustaining the excellent quality of the UCSD program. Nancy will assume her new responsibility effective March 1st.
