The Academic Senate Committee on Faculty Welfare has reviewed UC's 403(b) voluntary investment plan. We regard it very highly as an effective investment program. It combines two powerful investment principles: tax shelter and compounding. It gives you the opportunity to choose conservative investments (savings and fixed income) or riskier investments with higher average returns (common stocks).
