SUBJECT:  Open House this Weekend, October 19, 2002

We hope you're planning to join the campus community and our San Diego friends and neighbors for a fun day of exploring UCSD and celebrating its achievements as a great academic institution this Saturday, from 9am - 2pm, at "Picture Yourself Here-Open House 2002".

Enjoy a variety of entertainment, food, and fun activities including fish printing and battlebots! A variety of talented local bands will provide live music throughout the day with popular ska band "Common Sense" headlining in the afternoon.

Expand your mind with distinguished faculty panels addressing relevant topics such as Homeland Security and Hormone Replacement Therapy. UCSD Healthcare is planning a number of health-oriented activities, Scripps Institution of Oceanography will offer a "walk-in" whale, and Geisel Library will have a Cat in the Hat astro-jump.

As you can see, it really is easy to "Picture Yourself Here" because there is something for everyone at Open House 2002!
