SUBJECT:  Construction Alert: La Jolla Playhouse Play Development and
                     Education Center

Beginning today, October 31, 2002, the La Jolla Playhouse will be moving their existing Administrative Trailers and Education Trailer to the abandoned roadbed west of the Mandell Weiss Theatre. Please refer to the campus map website http://www.ucsd.edu/map/ucsdmap.pdf (section C12). Additionally, approximately forty trees are currently being removed in the area of the existing Playhouse Trailers.

These activities comprise the first phase of efforts in site preparation for the anticipated start of construction early next year for the new La Jolla Playhouse Play Development and Education Center.
