SUBJECT:  UCSD Diversity Council Focus Group Sessions

I am pleased to announce that the UCSD Diversity Council is hosting several focus group sessions relating to campus diversity issues. The first of these sessions will begin with the following:

DIVERSITY COUNCIL FOCUS GROUP SESSIONS

"Come and have your voices heard on critical issues impacting diversity at UCSD"

Topic: Graduate/Professional Students and Issues of Diversity

Session 1
Date: March 11, 2002
Time: 11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Location: Cross Cultural Center

Session 2
Date: March 12, 2002
Time: 3:30 p.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Location: Price Center, Gallery B

REFRESHMENTS WILL BE PROVIDED

I am approving a one-hour administrative leave with pay on March 11th or March 12th so employees may attend a focus group session of their choice. Therefore, supervisors may grant employees one hour of administrative leave combined with employee lunch break to attend the event when the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties.
