ACADEMIC AFFAIRS November 5, 2003
SUBJECT: Resignation of David Jordan as Provost of Warren College Dear Colleagues: After nearly 10 years of dedicated service as Provost of Warren College, David Jordan has announced his decision to step down as Provost at the end of this academic year. David will be greatly missed as Provost, not only by the Warren College community, but by his many friends and colleagues across the UCSD campus. The students, staff, and faculty of Warren College have benefited enormously from David's commitment to Warren and UCSD throughout his years of service as Provost. David has had a tremendous impact on Warren College students, many of whom have come to know him as a gifted teacher, a wise mentor, and a good friend. Acting Chancellor Chandler and I take this opportunity to thank Provost Jordan for his distinguished service to Warren College and the campus and to wish him every success in his future endeavors. We will initiate a campus-wide search for the next Provost of Warren College as soon as possible. Further details of this search will be forthcoming shortly.
