SUBJECT:  UC Personnel Policies for Staff Members and UCSD Implementing
                     Procedures

The consistent application of University policies, practices, and procedures is crucial to maintaining a climate of fairness and professionalism. Therefore, key personnel at UCSD have a significant responsibility to act fairly and equitably on a regular, recurring basis.

Together, the UC Personnel Policies for Staff Members (PPSM) and UCSD Implementing Procedures serve as the authoritative reference on all phases of the employer-employee relationship and indicate how policy is to be correctly administered in a given situation. In the past two years, the PPSM and UCSD Implementing Procedures have undergone major revisions in the following areas:

* MILITARY LEAVE
* PROBATIONARY PERIOD
* PAID HOLIDAYS
* SICK LEAVE
* LEAVE OF ABSENCE

Because this is by no means a complete list of revisions, please click on the following link for more information and access to an online tool for keeping up to date on all UC Policy and UCSD Procedure changes:
