SUBJECT:  Review of Senior Vice Chancellor of Academic Affairs
                     Marsha A. Chandler

As per University of California policy stating that academic vice chancellors be reviewed every five to seven years, UCSD is initiating a formal review of Marsha A. Chandler.

The Review Committee will prepare a report to me after its consideration of opinions and evaluations from department chairs, faculty, staff, and if they deem relevant, outside referees. The report will address such matters as administration of personnel, financial resources, student matters, curricula, and support activities. In addition, the Committee will evaluate performance in fostering of diversity objectives, and in effective leadership within the Office of Academic Affairs, with campus and system wide units, and with the community.
