SUBJECT:  Closure of Northbound Lanes on Interstate 5 and 805

The CHP says it will close all northbound lanes on Interstate 5 and Interstate 805 between Highway 52 and the merge beginning at 4 p.m. The closure, which will begin as the afternoon commute is just getting under way, is expected to last at least half an hour, officials said.

Drivers are urged to stay away from the area beginning at 3:30 p.m., the CHP said.

UCSD staff whose travel home will be affected by the closure may be released early from their regular work schedules today subject to supervisory approval.
