SUBJECT:  Representative Assembly Meeting Today 5/27/03

Dear Colleagues:

I hope you will attend today's meeting of the Representative Assembly, which will be held in Garren Auditorium (1105 Basic Science Building) beginning at 3:30 p.m. It is the last meeting of this body scheduled for the 2002-03 academic year, and we have a mix of important issues on the docket.

In addition to an update by Senior Vice Chancellor Chandler regarding the Freshman Seminar Program, we will consider proposed revisions of the UCSD Policy on Integrity of Scholarship, amendment of the Senate regulation governing supervised special studies, and proposals for two graduate programs. The Assembly will also be asked to act on the nominations for Faculty Research Lecturer and to consider a number of proposed amendments of the Division's bylaws regarding movement toward electronic distribution of some Division and Assembly documents.
