SUBJECT:  CONSTRUCTION ALERT - REGENTS ROAD DELAYS

Beginning on July 24, 2003 through August 8, 2003, San Diego Gas & Electric will be upgrading the electrical system in Regents Road between Eastgate Mall and Health Sciences Drive. This work will take place Monday through Friday between the hours of 8:30 am and 4:30 pm. This work is necessary in order to supply power to UCSD's new Science Research Park project, currently under construction. As part of this work, a connection to the electrical vault located in the center of the road will need to made and traffic may be reduced to one way at times. If this happens, flagmen will be directing the traffic flow.

During this time the East Campus Health Sciences facilities and parking lots may be accessed via Campus Point Drive from Genesee Avenue or from Genesee Avenue via Regents Road to Health Sciences Drive.
