SUBJECT:  New Recharge Rates for Imprints Campus Copiers

New copy rates and monthly minimum volumes have been established and approved by the Campus Recharge Rate Review Committee for Imprints-provided copiers and digital multifunctional devices. New rates will become effective on October 1, 2003 for current and new installations.

New, lower per copy rates represent a significant savings in several ways:

--A lower copy rate applies to all current models, and a newly established overage rate will apply when copies exceed the minimum monthly volume. The former base copy rate of .046 cents has been reduced to .038 cents on analog copiers, and .042 cents on digital systems.

--The new overage rates represent over 50% savings and apply to all copies above the minimum volume for the specific model. Formerly .046 cents per copy, the new overage rates are .022 cents for analog copiers and .019 cents on digital systems.

--Minimum monthly volumes have been adjusted to reflect depreciated and non-depreciated status and differ by model and configuration.

In conjunction with lower rates, several inefficient billing systems will be modified or phased out. Specific information on billing methods, new minimums and applicable rates for departments on their current copiers may be found on BLINK, or from http://imprints.ucsd.edu.
