7th Annual Sharecase - March 24, 2004

The growth and success of UC San Diego depends upon the staff who support the research, teaching, clinical, and community activities of the campus. Staff from academic and administrative areas have worked together this past year to develop new Web-based tools and technology that will meet the challenges and help sustain the excellence that UC San Diego has achieved.

On March 24th, the UCSD Middle Management Council and Business Affairs will co-host Sharecase 2004 at the Price Center to provide interested staff with information on how technology can help them tackle these challenges. This day-long event will include a tropical theme, live demonstrations of new Web-based tools, and other technology such as:

* Making Your Job Easier with "MyServices"
* E-Commerce & UCSD Marketplace
* Finding Information You Need With QueryLink and MyDashboard
* Enhancements in Award Information
* Single Sign-On
* Security, E-mail, Spam
* Many more areas...

Come join us in the exhibit hall for demonstrations and great ideas from vendors and campus service providers, along with giveaways and a free lunch for registered attendees. Remember to come dressed in your tropical or Hawaiian attire and be prepared to learn and have some fun.

I encourage supervisors to release staff to attend job-related presentations as work permits. This is a wonderful development opportunity for attendees to obtain information on a variety of topics.
