2003-2004 Annual Service Awards Ceremony

It is my pleasure to announce that the 37th Annual Service Awards ceremony will be held on Tuesday, October 26, 2004, in the Price Center Ballroom. The ceremony provides an occasion for the campus community to acknowledge and recognize those UCSD staff employees who have achieved 10, 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35 years of service during the period of September 1, 2003, through August 31, 2004. This year, we will recognize and celebrate the service achievements of 529 staff members.

The ceremony will begin at 2:30 p.m. and will include presentations of awards and certificates of appreciation to 128 employees who have completed 25, 30 and 35 years of service. Employees who have completed 10, 15 and 20 years of service will receive certificates of appreciation to recognize their service and commitment to the University.

Vice chancellors, department heads and supervisors will be provided a listing of this year's honorees. All supervisors should encourage those who are to be recognized to attend the ceremony.

UCSD is indeed fortunate to have such a high level of commitment and contribution from the large number of valued employees as reflected by those being acknowledged at this year's Service Awards ceremony.
