Staff Employee Incentive Award Program

UCSD recognizes outstanding and deserving staff through a number of initiatives, including staff employee incentive awards. These awards recognize and reward excellence in university service.

Two categories of staff employee incentive awards include:

1) the systemwide Employee Incentive Award Program, comprising cash bonuses funded through a mandatory assessment of eligible payroll; and

2) the local campus award programs, including cash, gifts, gift certificates and professional development funded by a vice chancellor or department.

Eligible employees may participate in both categories. At present, the University and CUE are in wage negotiations; therefore, exclusively represented Clerical employees are currently ineligible to receive cash bonuses (category #1) pending completion of negotiations. These employees may receive awards, both cash and non-cash, funded by a vice chancellor or department (category #2).

For more specific information about your area, consult the Employee Incentive Award program guidelines issued by the respective vice chancellor's office.

To obtain a payment under the 2003-04 Staff Employee Incentive Award Program, send award payment authorization forms to the Payroll Office. The Payroll Office must receive forms by Monday, June 7, 2004.
