UCSD Staff Associations' Annual Staff Appreciation Picnic

I am pleased to announce and invite you to attend the annual All Staff Appreciation Picnic, brought to you by the UCSD staff associations, to be held on Friday, August 13, 2004, from 11:30 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at the Sun God Lawn. "Partners in Paradise" is a tropical island theme for this year's Picnic. All members of the campus community are encouraged to attend this fun event.

Picnic activities will include the 22nd annual Vice Chancellor's Volleyball Tournament, the perennial cakewalk, games, arts and crafts vendor fair, the RadHatter and face painting, music, and lots of food. In addition to many incredible specialty food plates sold by staff associations, the UCSD Staff Association will provide free treats of corn-on-the-cob, watermelon, Hawaiian ice, and popcorn. The incredible specialty entrée plate offerings sold by the staff associations are the principal fundraisers for these organizations. So, come prepared to support the staff associations and eat well in the bargain!

Supervisors are encouraged to grant employees two hours of release time in addition to the regular half-hour for lunch to attend the picnic if the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties.
