SUBJECT:    Faculty and Staff Validation Sticker Elimination

UCSD faculty and staff will no longer be required to obtain an annual validation sticker through their department offices. In the past, validation stickers were issued to all faculty and staff, who were eligible for University services for the year (September - August). Once the sticker was affixed to the back of the ID card, the employee was considered "current" for the year, and the cardholder was provided access to facilities and services throughout the campus.

The Student Business Services Office (SBS), in coordination with ACT and Campus Payroll, has developed an alternative to the sticker for validating employment status. The new validation process will provide campus departments that require the validation of employment status, an electronic means to access this information.
