"Let's Get Acquainted" Events

As I begin my new administration as Chancellor, I am eager to meet the students, faculty, and staff whose commitment to excellence has made UCSD an outstanding institution. To help us get to know one another, I am hosting four "Let's Get Acquainted" events, and I invite each of you to attend the event that is most convenient for you. Light refreshments will be served.

The four events are:

UCSD MEDICAL CENTER - Hillcrest Small Dining Rooms
Tuesday, September 28, 2004
3:30 p.m. - 4:30 p.m.

UCSD THORNTON - Hospital Courtyard
Thursday September 30, 2004
12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

SIO - Pawka Green
Thursday, September 30, 2004
3:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.

I am approving one hour of administrative leave with pay for employees to attend a "Let's Get Acquainted" event. Supervisors, upon request, may allow employees such leave when the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required duties.
