Calendar Year 2005 Holiday Schedule

Annually, the University provides thirteen (13) paid administrative holidays for eligible employees. Therefore, in addition to the January 1, 2005 administrative holiday which fell on a Saturday and officially was observed on Friday, December 31, 2004 and the January 17th observance of the Martin Luther King Jr. Birthday, the 2005 calendar will observe 11 other holidays. A holiday that falls on a Saturday is observed the preceding Friday and a holiday that falls on a Sunday is observed the following Monday, unless an alternate day is designated.

For the remainder of calendar year 2005, UCSD will observe the following administrative holidays:

Monday, February 21		President's Day
Friday, March 25		Cesar Chavez Day
Monday, May 30		Memorial Day
Monday, July 4		Fourth of July
Monday, September 5		Labor Day
Friday, November 11		Veteran's Day
Thursday, November 24		Thanksgiving Day
Friday, November 25		Friday following Thanksgiving Day
Friday, December 23		December 24 announced equivalent
Monday, December 26		Christmas Day equivalent
Friday, December 30		December 31 announced equivalent
