ALL ACADEMICS AND STAFF AT UCSD (including UCSD Healthcare) ALL STUDENTS AT UCSD
On January 24, 2005, President Dynes will visit the UCSD campus as the final part of his 14-month inaugural tour of all 10 UC campuses. He developed this "inaugural tour" as a way to celebrate the UC system and his appointment as President instead of having a formal inaugural ceremony. During the visit, President Dynes will hold an open town hall forum for faculty, staff, and students from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Price Center Ballroom. This forum will be an opportunity to hear from President Dynes his experience since becoming UC President, his plans for the future of our University system and to exchange ideas about how we can all work together to make the University of California the best in the country. Light refreshments will be served. In recognition of the President's Inaugural visit, I am approving two hours of administrative leave with pay on Monday, January 24th, the day of the event. Supervisors may allow two hours of release time for staff to participate when the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties. I know the campus community is excited to welcome President Dynes back to our wonderful UCSD campus, so I invite each of you to join me for his inaugural town hall forum on January 24th.
