Increase in Mileage Reimbursement Rates

Effective January 1, 2005, there will be an increase in two of the mileage rates used to reimburse travelers for use of their privately-owned automobiles:

- Standard mileage reimbursement rate for conducting official university business is currently 37.5 cents per mile and will be increased to 40.5 cents per mile, and the

- Special rate used for officially approved moves and transfers is currently 14 cents per mile and will be increased to 15 cents per mile.

The revised rates equal those reimbursement rates now permitted by the IRS.
