February 22, 2005 Representative Assembly Meeting

Dear Colleagues:

I hope you will attend our next meeting scheduled for Tuesday, February 22 at 3:30 p.m., in Liebow Auditorium, Room 2100 in the Basic Science Building. Please note that Liebow Auditorium is located on the building's second floor; our usual venue (Garren Auditorium) is on the first floor. The Notice of Meeting (agenda) and all pertinent documents may be found on the Senate's Web page at:

In addition to announcements by Chancellor Fox and the Division Chair, Vice Chancellor Langley will update us on UCSD's Capital Campaign and will be available to answer questions you might have about the Campaign and its implications for the faculty.

One important item of business will be consideration of nominations for vacancies on the Committee on Committees. I direct your attention to page 5 of the agenda packet, which reflects the status of nominations to date. Nominations may also be made from the floor. Should you wish to nominate a colleague, please make sure that the individual is willing to serve if elected.
