Academic Salary Scales PPM 230-40

Updated academic salary scales for 2004-05 are available online at http://adminrecords.ucsd.edu/PPM/docs/230-40.html, or in "pdf" format at http://adminrecords.ucsd.edu/PPM/docs/230-40.pdf. The following changes to the academic salary scales for 2004-05 are as follows:

· The salary scales for Lecturers and other Non-Senate Instructional Unit members are used for both represented and non-represented employees.

· The salary scale for medical House Staff is now reflected in two separate scales: (a) the systemwide scale for non-represented house staff, and (b) a UCSD local scale for represented house staff.

· The salary scale for Librarians has now been collapsed into one scale, which is used for both represented and non-represented librarians.

With the exception of the academic titles listed above, all other academic salary scales remain unchanged from 2003-04. This is due to the fact that the California state budget for 2004-05 did not provide funds for salary range adjustments. Manual holders are requested to provide copies of this issuance to their respective department chairs and any other departmental personnel requiring information on academic salaries.
