SUBJECT:    CONSTRUCTION ALERT - Scholars Drive North

Project Description/Location

The construction for the Rady School of Management is underway. The 83,000 GSF facility will be located east of Scholars Drive North, west of Ridge Walk, south of surface parking lot P357, and north of Eleanor Roosevelt College (ERC). Expected completion of the project is March 2007.

Immediate Street Impacts

Beginning on October 5, 2005 and continuing until April 2006, Scholars Drive North will be periodically affected by trucks carrying loads of dirt from the site. Starting in November 2005 and continuing until February 2006, concrete trucks will impact Scholars Drive North from the entry to the construction site, north to the Campus Point Drive intersection. Additionally, installation of underground water and storm drain lines in Scholars Drive North is expected. There may be partial one way traffic during heavy or peak construction truck traffic that will be controlled by flagmen. Waiting time will be kept to a minimum and every effort will be made to maintain one way of traffic flowing at all times.

If you have any questions, please contact the Project Manager, Chuck Kaminski at 858-822-3280 or Project Specialist, Lin Prentice at 858-534-3795. We greatly appreciate your patience during these construction activities.
