Moores Cancer Center Open House

If you have not had the opportunity to see the new Rebecca and John Moores UCSD Cancer Center, I invite you to take advantage of a wonderful opportunity this Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Cancer Center’s Open House from 1 to 4 p.m.

There you can operate a surgical robot, taste food that may help prevent cancer, and hear about the newest findings from cancer experts. These activities and much, much more will be available to you.

The new facility is located at 3855 Health Sciences Drive, on UCSD’s East Campus in La Jolla. Free parking is available

Activities include self-guided tours of the building’s highlights; lectures on cancer prevention, newest treatments and emerging research; screenings for prostate and oral cancers; demonstrations of the next-generation equipment for cancer diagnostics and treatment, including the DaVinci surgical robot; and recipes and samples from the Healing Foods Kitchen.
