ALL STUDENTS AT UCSD

SUBJECT:    Vote Tuesday, November 7!

Election day is coming up on Tuesday, November 7, and we would like to remind you to vote in this important election. We cannot overstate the importance of students participating in the political process. All too often we are not taken seriously by our elected representatives in the community, state, and nation. However, that is slowly changing as students turn out in greater numbers to vote. If students vote in force this year, our elected representatives will have a reason to put education and students first.

There will be two polling locations on campus: Muir Commons and Price Center Gallery B. If you are registered to vote with an on-campus address, your polling place will be at one of these locations. If you would like more information on the candidates and the various propositions, you may view UCSA's voter guide at http://www.ucsa.org/toolkit/voterguides/UCSD.pdf.

Two educational forums, sponsored by the Associated Students Office of External Affairs, will take place at the following times and locations:

Sunday, November 5 at 6:30pm
Oceanview Lounge, Thurgood Marshall College<
Educational Forum on the Governor and Candidates

Monday, November 6 at 5:00pm
Cross-Cultural Center
Educational Forum on the Propositions

Additionally, there will be an information booth, also sponsored by the Associated Students Office of External Affairs, on Library Walk on Monday, November 6 from 11:00am - 2:00pm.

I hope you will take the time to strengthen the collective student voice this Election Day. Your vote matters.
