The Committee will conduct an international search with the assistance of Richard P. Gustafson, Vice Chairman of Heidrick & Struggles, and Chairman of its Global Health Care Practice (rgustafson@heidrick.com). The successful candidate will have been a respected physician academic leader; will have achieved distinction, respect and credibility as a proven leader in academic medicine including research, clinical care and teaching; will have a successful track record in attracting financial support for research and educations programs from established public sources and private philanthropies; and will have demonstrated results at providing broad leadership with affiliated entities of an academic institution. An M.D. degree is required.
