OVER 10,000 EXPECTED FOR "UCSD ROCKS!" OPEN HOUSE

"UCSD Rocks!" Open House takes place Saturday, October 21, 10 am-2 pm. This special event gives us a unique opportunity to invite the entire San Diego community--as well as our own faculty, staff, students, and their families--to explore our campus and sample a wide array of activities, programs, and career opportunities.

FIRST COME, FIRST SERVED
The deadline is quickly approaching for signups! Departments need to register online at http://openhouse.ucsd.edu/participate.htm by Monday, September 25, at 4:30 pm, in order for information to be included in the printed program.

The "UCSD Rocks!" theme symbolizes our "Bear" of rocks in the Engineering courtyard, the most recent sculpture in our famous Stuart Collection.

EVENT CREW VOLUNTEER
Event Crew Volunteers receive a fabulous keepsake themed t-shirt, a catered lunch on the day of the event, and countless opportunities to meet new people--simply by participating in the "feel good" event of the fall. Sign up online at http://openhouse.ucsd.edu/participate.htm today. We'll even send praise of your participation to your supervisor or department head!

* Greet campus guests.
* Help lost & found children find their parents.
* Give out complimentary water bottles to keep guests hydrated & happy.
* Hand out venue maps & provide guidance to various locations & activities.
* Help people find their cars at the end of the event.
