SUBJECT:	Comment Period Extended to Review PPM 510-1 Section IX,
	Speech, Advocacy and Distribution of Literature

This notice is a reminder that the comment period for commenting on the proposed revisions was extended to December 1, 2007.

The proposed revisions have been under development for several years, and we feel it is appropriate to not rush the process to review the proposed revisions. There will be no changes to this policy without full campus review.

Student and faculty representation on the Committee is nearly complete and the first meeting is being scheduled shortly after the holiday break. Once the committee has an opportunity to review the comments and propose additional comments, another draft of the document will be distributed to the campus, in addition to scheduling an open forum.
