ALL ACADEMICS AND STAFF AT UCSD (including UCSD Medical Center)
ALL STUDENTS AT UCSD

SUBJECT:    New Route Added to Free Bus Zone

UCSD is committed to reducing traffic and parking congestion, and helping commuters cope with rising fuel costs. In support of this commitment, Transportation & Parking Services subsidizes free, unlimited bus rides on all Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) routes serving campus and the La Jolla Medical Center. We are excited to announce that effective February 1, 2007, the Free Bus Zone now also includes North County Transit District (NCTD) route 101. The 101 Breeze service provides convenient coastal access along Route 101 from Oceanside to the UCSD campus.

Join the hundreds of students, faculty, and staff who take advantage of free public transportation instead of parking at UCSD. With a Free Bus Zone sticker on your valid UCSD ID, you can now ride the entire length of these seven routes:

3 - Between UCSD Medical Center and Euclid Ave. Trolley Station

30 - Between UTC and downtown

41 - Between VA Hospital and Fashion Valley Mall

48/49 - Between UTC, La Jolla Medical Center, and UCSD

101 - Between Oceanside and UTC

150 - Between UTC and Downtown

921 - Between UCSD and Mira Mesa
