Warren Field Lighting Ceremony on May 3, 2007

On Thursday, May 3, at 7:00 p.m., Student Affairs will inaugurate the lighting of Warren Field and recognize UC San Diego alumnus and La Jolla resident Jon Sundt, whose generous gift was the impetus for this project. With the Jon Sundt gift and the additional support of Recreation and Sports Facilities, UCSD students on intramural and competitive sports teams will have additional time to practice and hold matches in the evening at Warren Field. The new lights and added playing hours will also lessen the wear on other playing fields, creating better conditions and more opportunities for recreation for all students. This enhancement contributes positively to the student experience and promotes the active healthy lifestyle we desire for all our students and members of the campus community.

All members of the campus community are invited to attend the lighting ceremony and celebration of the generous contribution of a former student, intramural athlete, and recreation participant.
