The members of the Search Committee for the position of Vice Chancellor – Student Affairs have concluded their deliberations and have provided me with the names of three finalists:

Penny Rue, Dean of Students, University of Virginia

Jean Marie Scott, Acting Vice Chancellor, Student Affairs, UC Santa Cruz

Melissa Vito, Vice Provost, Student Affairs/Dean of Students, University of Arizona

The search now enters the public phase and I encourage the campus community to participate via a series of informal open forums in which the candidates will be available to discuss their interest in the Vice Chancellor - Student Affairs position and the skills and expertise they bring to the position.
