Student Services Center Dedication Ceremony, Friday, May 11

I am pleased to invite members of the campus community to the dedication of the Student Services Center on Friday, May 11, at 2:00 p.m. The ceremony will be held in the courtyard of the Center located on the corner of Rupertus and Myers Drive. The building dedication ceremony will feature remarks by Chancellor Marye Anne Fox; Judy Sakaki, UC Vice President of Student Affairs; Diana Getrich Villegas, Executive Director, Barrio Logan College Institute; Garo Bournoutian, Graduate Student Association President; and Marco Murillo, Associated Students President. Large commemorative banners welcoming the UCSD community in 13 languages will be unfurled with music accompaniment by the UCSD Pep Band. A reception in the Multipurpose Room on the courtyard level and self-guided facility tours will follow the ceremony.

The Student Services Center is the culmination of two decades of analysis and planning on how best to serve enrolled and prospective students and their families, today and well into the future.
