Acting Senior Vice Chancellor - Academic Affairs

I am pleased to announce that Marjorie Caserio, Professor Emeritus of Chemistry & Biochemistry, has agreed to serve as the Acting Senior Vice Chancellor - Academic Affairs during the interim period following Marsha Chandler's acceptance of a new administrative post at the Salk Institute after June 30, 2007. Dr. Caserio has previously served as Acting Chancellor and Vice Chancellor - Academic Affairs at UC San Diego. Her service, effective July 1, 2007, will continue until the appointment of a permanent SVCAA.

As Acting SVCAA, Dr. Caserio will serve as the chief academic officer and will work closely with me and the Vice Chancellors during this time of transition. I am grateful to Marjorie for her willingness to continue her exemplary service to the University.
