Acting Vice Chancellor - Student Affairs

I am pleased to announce that Edward J. Spriggs, Associate Vice Chancellor - Resource Administration in Student Affairs, will serve as Acting Vice Chancellor - Student Affairs (VCSA), effective July 1, 2007. Ed will assume the VCSA responsibilities during the interim period following Dr. Joseph Watson's retirement on June 30, 2007 until a permanent VCSA has been approved.

Ed has served in his current position as Associate Vice Chancellor since July 2001 and oversees the management of the $60 million Student Affairs operating budget, as well as the International Center. He will work closely with me, the Senior Vice Chancellor and the Vice Chancellors during this time of transition. I appreciate Ed's willingness to assist the University in this leadership role.
