SUBJECT:    CONSTRUCTION ALERT - Lyman Lane

Project Description/Location

The 12KV distribution system project currently under construction will provide utilities to the new Music Building (under construction), the Structural and Materials Engineering Building (planned), and future projects in the University Center area. As part of this project, the contractor will be installing underground duct banks and water lines on Lyman Lane.

Immediate Street Impacts

Beginning on October 1, 2007 and ending on December 31, 2007, the south portion of Lyman Lane will be closed to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. Pepper Canyon Apartments can be accessed from Voigt Drive; however, traffic may be reduced to one lane as needed for construction. Access to Outback Adventure and all emergency vehicles will be available as needed. Flagmen will be present as needed for vehicular coordination. In addition, signs will be posted to assist vehicular and pedestrian traffic indicating detours.
