SUBJECT:	Chancellor's Town Hall Meetings at UCSD Medical Center,
	Hillcrest & La Jolla

On Friday, September 21, I will hold two Town Hall meetings - one at the UCSD Medical Center - Thornton Hospital, La Jolla, and one at UCSD Medical Center, Hillcrest - to provide an update on campus initiatives and communicate directly with you. This is an opportunity to share concerns, discuss ideas and ask questions.

The Town Hall meeting at UCSD Medical Center - Thornton Hospital, La Jolla, will be from noon to 1 p.m. in the Coral Room; and the Town Hall meeting at UCSD Medical Center, Hillcrest, will be from 2 to 3 p.m. in the Hillcrest Auditorium.

In order to allow employees the opportunity to attend the event, one (1) hour of administrative leave with pay has been approved. All managers and supervisors are asked to allow employees to attend, as long as the absence does not infringe upon the performance of required job duties or patient care.
