Dear Colleagues:
The second meeting of the Representative Assembly for the 2007-08 academic year will take place on Tuesday, January 29 at 3:30 p.m., in the Center for Molecular Genetics Conference Room. The Notice of Meeting (agenda) and all pertinent documents may be found on the Senate's Web page at:

On this occasion, one of the first items of business will be to elect a second individual from among the Assembly membership to serve as a representative to the Senate Council. The Senate Council oversees the functioning of the Division, determines the agenda for meetings of the Representative Assembly, and is empowered to take action for the Assembly in emergencies. If you intend to make a nomination from the floor, please make sure in advance that the person is willing to serve. For the list of this year's Assembly members, click on

SPECIAL PRESENTATIONS: We will have presentations by Vice Chancellor Penny Rue on student mental health and by Campus Counsel Daniel Park on recognizing potential conflicts of interest. Committee on Educational Policy Chair Kim Griest will also update the Assembly on academic integrity and enrollment management issues.
